Etymology

My, from Middle English , a shortened form of Old English mín.

Ire, from Old French yre, from Latin ira.

The name myire was originally conceived with a different interpretation in mind than my ire, i.e. "my intense anger". This alternative and currently official interpretation was suggested to me by coder extraordinaire Erik Svensson, who also kindly hosted this site for many years. The original interpretation of the name will be revealed in time.
